BILL LAURANCE TN 02.jpg

BRIEF

Another edition of the Nave Sessions with Bill Laurance for Rhodes Pianos.

After spending just a few days with the MK8, Bill was inspired to compose four brand-new songs for this session. Joined by his new trio members, Oscar Ogden on drums and Menelik Claffey on upright and electric bass, the group delivered a series of unforgettable performances.

With a total of 4 tracks

The opening piece, "Set Piece," emphasises the importance of engaging with critical issues and avoiding complacency. "Juju" was the first piece that emerged. Sometimes, you have to search for the Juju, and sometimes, the Juju finds you.

"Do What You Want" explores the idea of freedom and autonomy both as a musician and a human being. The song provides a blank canvas on which we are able to explore free, open dialogue but with a collective direction.

The final track from his session, titled "What It Is" -is a real taste of funk. :-)
